Phillip Cane began working for The London Borough of Camden between 1981 and 1999 gaining an introduction into Party Walls and managing projects up to £1.5m, including external and internal decoration and repair contracts throughout the borough.  During this time he achieved a bachelor's degree in Construction Management and became a member of the Chartered Institute of Building & Pyramus & Thisbe Learned Society. In 1999 Phil decided to become self-employed and gradually grew his business as a Specialist Building Surveyor. His wife Christina became a partner in 2014 carrying out administrative duties and managing the partnership accounts. In April 2019, his son Stephen also joined the partnership as a surveyor. Starting his career in the construction industry in 2013, Stephen has taken a leading role in running the business and driving the partnership forward. Stephen is a Chartered Construction Manager of the CIOB, Member of the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors (FPWS) and an Associate of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

The partnership's work is predominantly generated through repeat business, word of mouth and reputation. Following a period of growth, the Partnership became a LLP in 2023.

Although the majority of the partnership's work is in London and the home counties, we are happy to take appointments all over the country.
